This is a thread about your very first anime experience. What was your first anime and which anime really initiated your interest in watching more animes.
I think my very first anime is...from what I remembered is Devil Hunter Yohko or Fist of the North Star or even Totoro....I was in the 2nd grade...can't really remember...Personally, my brother initiated my interest in anime..he always rented animes back then... but currently he owns a whole collection and I mooch off of him (including his shonen jumps/shojo beats) ;D.
However, what really got me addicted was Dragonball Z (YES). (The Jap. version) Hey, DBZ is one of the classics since it was made in the 80s? I can't think of any anime better than DBZ that was made in the 80s. Well thats my opinion. I just want to make it clear that the prolonging fight scenes are due to the manga slow releases...once they were current with the manga...they had to drag out the fight scenes...sry Im not really good at explanations. Anyway...my point is DBZ shouldn't be put down just because some current releases are BETTER. lol Sorry, I get carried away because I dislike it when people think that DBZ is not an anime (which is ridiculous) and that you're not an anime fan just because you like DBZ. I think when an anime gets too popular...people just start putting it down. This is also happening to Naruto.
After DBZ...I started watching Escaflowne, Rurouni Kenshin,Outlaw Star, Gundam series... and these definitly gotten me into anime even more.
Now...lets hear from you.
